Content production for events and trade shows

Content that makes the right visitors stop, without technical surprises on the day itself.

At a trade show you have three seconds

A visitor walks down the aisle. All around, every stand is shouting for attention, it is busy and the sound gets lost in the hall. You have a few seconds to make them stop. That calls for something different from a video on your website: images that work without sound, and that you can follow without seeing the beginning.

And it is not about making everyone stop. It is about the visitors you want to talk to: your ideal clients. That is why we first research who they are and what resonates with them. Trade show content doesn't have to tell the whole story either. It has to start the conversation, so your stand team can finish it.

The screen is rarely 16:9

At an event, the screen is part of the space. A wide LED wall, three screens side by side, a projection or a VR headset: each calls for a design that suits the format and the way people walk past it or sit in front of it.

And it has to work on the day itself. That is why the stand builder and the AV company matter just as much to us as the client. We prepare everything together, from resolution to playback system, so there are no technical surprises at the show.

Our approach: research with everyone involved

Good event content starts with research, at every level. With you: what do you want to achieve, and who do you want to talk to? About the visitors: what are they looking for, and what makes them stop? And with the stand builder, the design agency and the AV company: what does the space look like, which screens will there be, and what is technically possible?

Where possible, we test the concept in advance with the people it is meant for. For Westfalia Fruit, we flew to London to present the concept and test it with stakeholders. At the show itself, we then spent three days as part of the stand team, talking one to one with visitors. That way you see straight away what works, and fix anything that doesn't on the spot. We work with a fixed price, based on a clear scope.

What sets us apart in content for events and trade shows

An event is short and has to go right first time. We are prepared for that in three ways.

Everything in one look and feel

Teaser, reveal, stand loop, the screens in the lounge and the visuals for social media and print: everything comes from one production, in one style. That way visitors recognise you everywhere.

Together with stand build and AV

We agree formats, resolution and playback with the stand builder and the AV company in advance. Where it adds certainty, we join you on the stand ourselves.

One production, from teaser to print

An event starts before the doors open and carries on after everyone has gone home. From the same production we make everything you need, in one look. Think, for example, of:

Loops for the stand. Animation without sound on a screen or LED wall, which you can follow from a distance.

Multi-screen installations. A story across three screens or a panoramic format, as for Deep Sleep at CES.

Opening, keynote and reveal videos. For the opening of a conference, a keynote or the unveiling of a product on stage.

VR and interactive. An experience visitors step into themselves, like Westfalia Fruit's VR orchard.

Event branding. Transitions, quotes and visuals between the programme items, so everything feels like one whole.

Screens along the walking route and in the lounge. Teasers ahead of the reveal, and then the product visuals with the key benefits.

After the event. The same visuals for social media, website and print, or an improved version that takes on board what we learned at the show.

What content for events and trade shows costs

Content for an event or trade show starts from €10,000 excluding VAT. We don't charge per second but per project: you get all the content for the event, in one look, plus the versions to keep using it afterwards.

2D content: from €10,000, 4 to 6 weeks

3D content: from €10,000, 6 to 10 weeks

With multiple deliverables: €12,500 to €20,000, 6 to 10 weeks

VR and multi-screen installations: on request

All prices are excluding VAT and are fixed, based on a clear scope. If time is tight, we are flexible. If we think it can't be done within the deadline, we offer an alternative, or tell you honestly that it is not feasible. Better honest than no result. How an enquiry works with us

You will hear from us within one working day. Usually with a few questions, because a budget that makes sense doesn't come from a single email.

After that there are two routes. If you need a number now, we give a rough estimate based on what you have sent us. If you have half an hour, we discuss the project and you then receive a well-founded scope with a matching budget. The second route gives a better answer, and often a different project than you had in mind.

In a hurry? Feel free to call. We do the same the other way round.

How content for an event or
trade show comes together at our studio

Briefing

After your enquiry you will hear from us within one working day, usually with a few questions. Then we schedule an introduction. We focus straight away on the content and the context: what needs explaining, to whom, and where will the animation be used? Together we map out where the communication friction lies and which decision you want to speed up, whether that is sales, an investor presentation, onboarding or stakeholder communication. Based on that we make a proposal with a clear scope, timeline and budget, including options for reuse. Once approved, we get started.

Concept & storytelling

We translate the substance into a narrative: what does the viewer need to understand first, what comes next, and how do we build towards the core? This is the phase in which we do the most substantive sparring and lay the foundation for an animation that is logically structured. You receive a fully developed concept with core message, structure and tone of voice.

Kick-off

At the kick-off everyone involved sits at the table. We define the storyline, discuss the inspiration and ask each other questions: we about the content, you about the process. We agree the timeline, fix the feedback moments and agree who has a say and who bundles the feedback. That last agreement is the most important one of the whole project.

Storyboarding

The narrative is worked out visually in a storyboard. You see per scene what will appear on screen, how the structure flows and where the accents lie. This is the key moment to steer: changes here are fast and save costs further down the production.

Concept design

We develop the visual style: colour palette, atmosphere, level of detail and what the 3D models look like. This can range from hyper-realistic to abstract, depending on what suits the story and the brand. You receive style frames so you can see exactly which direction we are taking.

Production

The 3D scenes are built, animated and rendered. Because the substantive choices have already been made, this phase remains manageable and predictable. You receive interim previews, so we can adjust together if needed.

Sound

Music, sound effects and any voice-over are added. This largely determines the sense of professionalism and pacing. Good sound makes a significant difference in how an animation comes across and holds attention.

Release

The animation is delivered in the agreed formats and resolutions, ready for deployment. If agreed, we also deliver variants (stills, cutdowns, platform formats) and advise on the best deployment per channel.

What do you want to show at your event?

Launching a product. A reveal on stage, followed by the product visuals on the stand. Take a look at product video production.

Positioning your brand. Letting people feel what you stand for, from the opening to the lounge. Take a look at brand video production.

Explaining what you do. Clear in one minute what you do and for whom, as an opener for the conversation on the stand. Take a look at explainer video production.

Not sure? We will decide together in the first conversation.
